I have always been fascinated by the internet, so it was not a very difficult choice when I had to choose a career.
I started to build web sites on my own and then became a professional. I now lead software development projects throughout their entire lifecycle.
My name is Fabien Warniez, I am French, originally from Saint-Prix, a small town near Paris, and I am currently living in Port Coquitlam, near by Vancouver, BC.
I graduated from EPITA in 2008, where I majored in Internet Technology. I then worked for almost 4 years in the Accenture Technology Labs of Sophia Antipolis in France, which is the Research & Development entity of Accenture. Earlier this year I transferred to the Vancouver Accenture office, where I am now focusing on Enterprise Social Media as part of the CRM practice.
My expertise domain is wide, but my primary area of focus has been web-based solutions development lifecycle in the past couple years. Until I transferred to Vancouver I was the technical architect and delivery lead of a web-based analytics platform for Social Media brand pages, which is based on Microsoft .Net. I also have a long and good experience of Adobe Flex and Adobe AIR, which led me to become an “Adobe Certified Expert on Flex with AIR” in 2009. I also have quite an experience with standard web development such as HTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL, ASP.net, Java J2EE, Web Services, to name a few.
My current research interests are Rich Internet Applications and Social Media.
